Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in subcontract management, contracts administration, or procurement supporting federal government contracts.\n- Experience managing the full subcontract lifecycle from solicitation through closeout.\n- Strong understanding of FAR, DFARS, and subcontract flow-down requirements.\n- Experience supporting DoD prime contracts and task orders.\n- Ability to negotiate subcontract terms and conditions.\n- Strong organizational, documentation, and contract administration skills.\n- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.\n- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience working within a small business government contractor environment.\n- Experience supporting Cost Reimbursable, T&M, and Firm Fixed Price contracts.\n- Knowledge of CPSR readiness, DCAA audits, and government contracting compliance requirements.\n- Familiarity with Deltek Costpoint, GovWin, or similar government contracting systems.\n- Experience supporting proposal development and teaming agreements

Job Description

Our client is seeking a Subcontracts Specialist to manage the full lifecycle of subcontracts, consulting agreements, and purchase orders supporting Department of Defense (DoD) prime contracts and task orders. Reporting to the VP of Operations, this individual will be responsible for subcontract planning, negotiations, compliance, administration, and closeout activities while ensuring adherence to FAR and DFARS requirements. The ideal candidate thrives in a small business environment and can effectively balance compliance, negotiation, and day-to-day subcontract management responsibilities. This role also requires strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and government customers.
